I am a Chinese Malaysian; born and raised in Melaka. I am happily married to a great guy from Ipoh,Perak. We are blessed with a son, CK who was born in Sept 2006. We have been residing in Richmond,VA since July 2001. I am a stay-at-home mom and loves to cook, bake and read. I am also taking up needlework (crochet & knitting) these days. Finally, started to blog as well. The reason that I blog is to share my thoughts, recipes and most importantly to registered the development of CK & his activities to share with friends and relatives a far. Hopefully, this blog will still be available for CK when he grows older.
I like cooking and have been trying out recipes. This interest started when I came to US in 2001. Before that, it was always Mom’s the Cook. As the nearest Malaysian Restaurant is in Washington DC, I have no choice but cook those dishes that I missed. And I have been cooking & baking since then. My beloved hubby was my guinea pig for a long time
I am still learning as there is always room for improvement when comes to cooking. I am very lucky as I have a mom who is a good cook and friends who are food critics. This is how my cooking improved from day to day. My source of recipes & tips are from my mom, blogs, online recipes search and books. So, I feel I would also like to share some of my home cooked simple dishes through this blog.

I am so thrilled that you finally launched the blog. I have missed CK’s growing time since your family left for Portugal in February of 2007. Being his godmother, I felt guilty for not being part of his life. Prior to your return to Richmond, I have moved to sunny California where I came from. The four years that I have spent in Richmond is the time I cherished the most as I found myself a close girlfriend who has the same interest and personality as mine. With this blog, I no longer feel the time and distance that separate us apart. Keep up the good work! I love CK’s stories and your recipes.
